Honda Announces 2021 Civic Type R Limited Edition

2021 Honda Civic Type R Limited Edition

Since its release in the U.S. market in 2017, the Honda Civic Type R has been earning lots of praise from both fans and auto journalists, thanks to its incredible performance and eye-catching style. To take things even further for 2021, Honda will be offering a Limited Edition model of the Civic Type R that offers lower weight, improved handling, and exclusive Phoenix Yellow paint.

With only 600 units available of the Type R Limited Edition, you’ll want to make sure to contact us at Ed Voyles Honda to inquire about availability. These special models are sure to be sold quickly.

Exterior upgrades for the Civic Type R Limited Edition include the exclusive Phoenix Yellow paint color, gloss black paint accents, a dark chrome Civic badge, lightweight forged-alumninum alloy wheels from BBS and extra grippy Michelin Cup 2 performance tires.

Inside, there is a special numbered plaque on the center console designating its build number, an Alcantara-wrapped steering wheel, new weighted shift knob, and the Honda Sensing Suite of safety and driver-assistive technology as standard equipment. Honda has also removed 28 pounds of sound deadening material to further reduce weight.

Under the hood you still get the same race-bred 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine with VTEC that produces an impressive 306 hp and 295 lb.-ft. of torque, and is mated to a close-ratio 6-speed manual transmission with a limited-slip differential.
